We do not have wild lions,
elephants or tigers, not masses of flamingos or zebras, not
even a single panda! But what we have instead
is peace, safety and silence - things to be appreciated during
the hectic pace of today. We also have plenty of birds and
mammals,
many of which you may not have met before, but they are all
wild just as nature intended. Finland is a big country in
area,
but small in human population. So both people and animals
have plenty of space to live. From top to bottom, our country
is about 1300 kilometers long. This means that we have a huge
diversity of habitats and climates to suit all sorts.
If we have flowers in South, there may still be snow in North.
The summer gradually appears step by step and casts its influence
on everything in the wild.
So, by planning your visit carefully, you can enjoy the best
that Nature has to offer in Finland.
