WHY TO FLY TO FINLAND ? that´s the question
We do not have wild lions, elephants or tigers, not masses of flamingos or zebras, not even a single panda! But what we have instead is peace, safety and silence - things to be appreciated during the hectic pace of today. We also have plenty of birds and mammals, many of which you may not have met before, but they are all wild just as nature intended. Finland is a big country in area, but small in human population. So both people and animals have plenty of space to live. From top to bottom, our country is about 1300 kilometers long. This means that we have a huge diversity of habitats and climates to suit all sorts. If we have flowers in South, there may still be snow in North. The summer gradually appears step by step and casts its influence on everything in the wild. So, by planning your visit carefully, you can enjoy the best that Nature has to offer in Finland.
In this brochure you will find advertisements of reliable operators, who can introduce new and exciting possibilities to add to your trip to Finland. There are well known birding "hot spots" like Liminka in the West and Siikalahti in the East as well as a special Osprey Center in mid-South of the country. If you prefer your wildlife to be of the furry variety, then there are even three places where you can meet wild brown bears!

Why not visit the Wildlife Photo Academy and extend your trip to Finland to some of these very special places? All necessary instructions on the last page, please. Finland is a novel location for the birdwatcher, photographer and video-maker. We would all like to be able to help you to have a fun and successful trip to our country. So, why not contact the places that interest you direct and/or leave a message (should the boss be stuck somewhere in a hide!) and we will ensure, that your trip to Finland will be most memorable one…
