The competition class consists of about 20 special dintances varying between 1 and 100 km. The achieved points in the different stages decide the final placing. The winner of the Arctic Canoe Race will not only be a specialist of rapids, but also an allround canoeist, who masters everything. In the competition class you will paddle from Kilpisjärvi to Haparanda/Torneå.

The tourist class is a chanllenging event with many adventures along the route, where the daily stages vary between 50-100 km. You can choose the more demanding alternative Kilpisjärvi-Haparanda/Torneå or the easier and shorter one Jukkasjärvi-Haparanda/Torneå.
