Our hotel is specialized in package tours and we make all the arrangements for guidance in different languages and for transfers. In winter we offer husky-, reindeer-, snowmobile- and ice-fishing safaris as well as guided ski treks. The Saariselkä ski track network passes right by the hotel and includes over 200 km of trails, of which 40 km are illuminated. Saariselkä ski slopes are just 10 km from the hotel. Transportation is arranged between the hotel and the slopes. You can rent cross country skis from the hotel.
In summer we arrange trips to Lemmenjoki river and to Inari Sami museum, fishing at Lake Inari and on Teno river, canoeing on Ivalo river, and goldpanning at a local gold prospector's claim. It is also possible to visit Goldmuseum in Tankavaara, which is situated only 22 km from Kakslauttanen. In the area there are many gold diggers in summer.
We have also excellent hiking possibilities in the national park. There are several marked trails, some of them starting just from the hotel yard. Or if you want to go farther you can rent a mountain bike from the hotel. We arrange also dinners in teepee and performances of genuine Lapp Joiku-songs.
