Have a meeting or a celebration, fish, hike and stay overnight in traditional Savo surroundings.

Mikko's Cottage is made from naturally round, solid logs and it is situated in Kotamäki in Jäppilä on the shore of a small lake. There is also a log sauna built in the traditional style with benches on opposite sides to offer a good setting for tough negotiations. Across the lake on top of a hill stands a new beautiful Kota, heated by a grand open fireplace and a stove.

The Kota is ideally suited for a nice evening's get-together or for a meeting or an informal chat. There is space for up to 30 people. The Kota has a solid dining table for ten. Sitting on top of a hill, the Kota offers archetypal Finnish hill scenery that lets you rest your soul. At the bottom of the hill there is a lake where you can fish for shiny salmon, delicious for smoking or for roasting over the open fire.

Keisarinmäki walk
Keisarinmäki is a stone's throw away from Mikko's cottage. At breakfast time or in the midst of negotiations you can take your guests to visit a working farm with all its buildings dating from the 18th century. In the spacious old smoke hut you can have a snack and a morning coffee, during the day maybe coffee and cakes in the parlour. The host and hostess will be glad to introduce you to all the buildings and the history of the house. You can also take a peep in the rare vaulted cellar.

In the summer, Keisarinmäki is available for family occasions such as weddings, birthdays and family gatherings.
