Loma-Jussila
is
a working farm midway between and about 70 km from Kuopio and Joensuu.
It is a typical Finnish farm where a living is made from several sources.
Jussila has cows, sheep, a goat, a horse, rabbits, dogs and cats, fields
and forests. The host family lives in a separate building and consists of
mother Arja, father Pentti, and Children Arvi-Mikko, Venla, Helena and Annamari.Loma-Jussila is a country restaurant. The milk is certainly fresh since it comes from own cowshed, and the food is home-made and traditional Finnish and Savo-Karelian food at its best. Please order two days before as the traditional food takes time to prepare!

Loma-Jussila is a renovated farmhouse built in the 1920s. The house is equipped with modern conveniences. Downstairs there is a complete kitchen, a traditional dining room, a coffee room and a bedroom, a shower and two toilets (1 accessible with wheel-chair). Upstairs there is a living/meeting room with a colour TV, four bedrooms, shared shower and toilet. Lake shore sauna and kitchen, nature path, and a forest lean-to shelter serve the guests.
Loma-Jussila farm offers bed and breakfast for a max. of 10 persons in double rooms (+ five 120 cm wide extra beds for 1 adult or 2 children). Half board available. For groups the house can be rented whole as a big cottage.

B&B 35 €/person in the back room, 30€/person upstairs. Includes linen. Loma-Jussila as a cottage 300 €/day. Linen 9 €/person. END cleaning 120 €.
Peltola Grandma's Cottage is within walking distance from Loma-Jussila and 130 m from the lake shore. It is a traditional little red cottage for 2+3 persons. It has two bedrooms, a combined kitchen + living room, toilet + shower, sauna and garage. The kitchen is well equipped with both a wood-burning kitchen stove, an electric stove, and microwave oven.
Prices:
A season (20.6.-31.7.) 360 €/week or 65 €/day, B season (other dates) 280 €/week or 48 €/day. Bed linen 9 €/person, end cleaning 50 €.
Activities
Nature trail 2.4 km (booklet in Finnish, English or German) for walking in the forest and picking berries and mushrooms; in winter ski tracks. Finishing on your own or guided fishing trips with a tackle. Crayfishing in the crayfish season. Sailing boat for two persons. Sauna and swimming in the lake - also in winter! Riding, taking care of the animals.
